Mystery Fireball Streaks Across Sky - July 2, 2008
From the Hollywood Hills to the Nevada state line, people reported seeing a
fireball streaking across the sky and
appearing to fall toward the San Bernardino Mountains on Tuesday morning. But
explanations of the mysterious object
were scarce. San Bernardino County Fire Dispatch reported receiving dozens of
calls related to a fireball moving
at high speed in the northwest sky around 10:40 a.m. "We got quite a few
reports. It started with a gentlemen in
the Lake Arrowhead area reporting a fireball in the Meadow Bay area, and then we
started getting calls from all over,"
said San Bernardino County dispatch supervisor Tom Barnes.
"Events like this do happen around the world. But a bright meteor is not
something people would usually recognize
in the day," said Lance Benner, a research scientist at NASA's Jet Propulsion
Laboratory in La Cañada Flintridge. "The
eyewitness account suggests it was a small asteroid hitting the atmosphere." The
fact that it was spotted in daylight
suggests it could have been farther away than it appeared, Benner said. He said
it could have landed several hundred
miles away.
- Fireball Remains a Mystery (http://laist.com/2008/07/02/fireball.php) - July
2, 2008
There is still no explanation of the fireball that soared through Southern
California skies yesterday morning at about 10:40 a.m. "I was in downtown Los
Angeles on the 31st floor of my office and just happened to look out the window
to see a bright white streak disappear behind the San Gabriel Mountains. It was
over in an instant. It was huge, at least as wide as the moon, but it had a tail
Most reports of witnessing the fireball came from within Riverside and San
Bernardino counties. Even "fire crews in Barstow and on I-15 near Stateline
reported seeing an object in the sky moving very fast across the northern sky
and described it as yellowish green in color with streaks of debris. It looked
like it burned up before it hit the ground.

Fireball in sky not a plane, Halifax police say - July 3, 2008
A group of children reported that a fireball nosedived to the ground in a wooded
area off Herring Cove Road Wednesday evening.
Firefighters, police and search-and-rescue teams sprang into action. As a
helicopter searched from above, police rode dirt bikes through the woods.
But as the investigation continued, it was appearing less likely that the object
was a plane.
Police said they were told that someone had fired a flare nearby, which matched
the trajectory of the object the children saw.

Bright White Fireball over Neehah, Wisconsin - July 5, 2008
At 11:30 PM Central Time a very bright white (brighter than Jupiter was tonight.
>Magnitude -2.72) fireball like object was observed traveling from the South to
the North over Neehah, Wisconsin. The object maintained it's form the entire
time from my perspective. A smoke trail was not seen because of the darkness.
This was NOT A FIREWORK. I have enjoyed amateur astronomy and i was out
observing Jupiter, when the event took place. I can distinguish between a
firework and a meteor/fireball.

Fireball in S.B. sky probably space rock - Jul 7 (2008)
It was a basketball. It was a Volkswagen. It was a hunk of junk. OK. I'm being
facetious about that ball of fire that flashed across the San Bernardino
Mountains at about 11:15 a.m. Tuesday.
-
Red and Yellow Fireball Reported Over Snow Valley, California - July 8,
2008
A very bright read and yellow fireball was witnessed travelling West to the
North-West.
It was very bright against clouds. Looked like an exploding airplane, but it
stuck around
before fading. It appeared to be moving, but not really falling.

Ball Of Fire Spotted On Heathrow And Gatwick Flightpath - 8th July 2008
The new sighting near Gatwick Airport however is a very different story. The
Parker family from Mutton Hall Hill have reported seeing a ball of flames
streaking across the sky, that appeared to be taking the same path as aircraft
heading for Gatwick and Heathrow Airport from the continent in a northwards
direction.
However, apparently the UFO then veered off to the east and vanished. The Parker
family accept that it may have been a military flare as it did appear to travel
with the wind although a flare from a distance often does not look like a ball
of flames and more like a light. However as ususal any developments on the story
will be covered here on Compare Airport Parking.
- Large meteor crosses Israeli skies - Jul 8, 2008
A large meteor crossed Israel's skies on Tuesday evening, and was seen by many
residents, mainly in the center of the country, Army Radio reported.
According to citizens' reports, the object was seen at approximately 8:15 p.m.,
as it crossed the sky from east to west horizontally. Some witnesses said they
saw two shiny objects in the sky, and others reported that they heard a
shrieking sound.
A Petah Tikva resident told Army Radio that he saw a beam of light, which
crossed the sky in the direction of the sea. "It looked like a comet, with a
long white tail, but much shinier and moving much faster," he said.
Yigal Pat-El, chairman of the Israeli Union of Astronomers, told Army Radio that
the meteor was exceptionally large, and that its entry into the
atmosphere was not expected.

Witness account: Large meteorite seen over Cyprus - 08 Jul 2008
Between 8:25 - 8:30 pm tonight, in the town of Larnaca (Southern coast of
Cyprus) I was walking by the beach when I saw in the sky something like a ball
of fire moving slower than a usual falling star, followed by a bright pink/red
tail. Other people on the beach saw it as well and kept talking and wondering
about it.
None of us saw anything like this before. It must have been much closer to the
earth than "regular" falling stars, because we kept seeing it crossing the sky
for about 10 seconds before it disappeared from view behind some tall buildings.
It seems to have been going north, somewhere over Turkey, or maybe even Greece.
Comment: It appears that this is the same meteorite that was seen crossing
Israeli sky at 08:15 pm.

Meteor sparks fears of UFO, Iranian missiles in Israel - July 09, 20
A relatively large and unexpected meteor streaked across the sky over central
Israel Tuesday evening, sparking widespread fears that the nation was under
attack by Iran,
Officials said the atmosphere of near hysteria was only made worse by the fact
that astronomers had failed to predict this particular meteor would hit earth. One astronomer said he and his
colleagues rarely miss predicting such a large meteor colliding with earth's
atmosphere.
We are in IMPACT THREAT CONDITION ORANGE!

West Coast meteor may have landed - July 10, 2008
The mystery of lights spotted off the west coast of New Zealand overnight has
taken a twist with Punakaiki residents reporting a large bang and jolt.
Christchurch police received reports from Hokitika to Nelson of a light in the
sky between 11pm and midnight, and Wanganui police received three calls of a
bright light out at sea
"There was one big jolt and then a smaller one. It was like an earthquake but
not really,"
There was a huge bang, then a shake,"
Barrytown resident Sandy Passant saw red lights in the sky about 11pm. She also
heard a noise at 8pm, and her partner Russell went outside to investigate but
could not find anything.
"It was a very strange bang. We thought it might have been an earthquake but it
was different -- just a big bang."
Gerry Lonie was on a fishing vessel near Hokitika and saw a meteor at 11pm.
"But there was a better one the night before -- there's been a few of them. It
looked like a shooting star, it was quite a big flash but I didn't hear
anything."
Constable Sean Judd, of Westport police, said he saw a light like a "very large,
close up shooting star" just before 11pm. It lasted about three to four seconds
before burning out.
"It was a white-green colour."

The Early 21st Century: 2007 (Part Two) - posted here 22 April 2008
This one on or near August 2007 will be the first of many mega-fireballs
capable of vapourising a US
city and, likewise, will be observed over the US and Canada.
Did Happen 11 to 13 August 2007!
Eventually, in July 2008, one of these will hit the Aegean/Ionian seas,
but by that time it will be
nearly the size of a mile-round asteroid. That is assuming the asteroid that
hits in 2008 is not
Toutatis, but one of these. It is also possible a few of these will vapourise a
city or cause
unbelievable flooding. I saw an example of one of these "tidal storms" in a
dream I had on August 17,
2006, that I will hopefully relate to you in the very near future. I believe it
took place in 2008 during
a time of major naval battles. This tidal storm was very terrifying.
Maybe, Greece and 07/05 (5 July +/- 6 days) on years from 2006 to 2010
includes this predicted July 2008 event.
As Planet X grows nearer, and for a period after it has passed, this phenomenon
will increase, as will
also another phenomenon discussed by a number of prophets (John the Revelator,
Nostradamus, the Seer
of Waldviertel, Ursula Southiel, and others) called "fire from the sky." More on
that later.
The comet swarm that we are anticipatng may cause impacts up through
2130.
-
The Early 21st Century: 2008 (Part Two) posted here 26 April 2008
If Toutatis is the asteroid predicted by Nostradamus, it will smash into the
Aegean or Ionian sea at the start of
or part-way through the reign of Hieron (anagram of Chiren).
When?
Evidence in the Epistle to Henry II and the quatrains place Chiren's rule as
king of France and later as emperor
in the 2008 - 2016 period. France will, in fact, begin chairing the EU
presidency in July 2008. Thus, should the
object in question be Toutatis, and taking into consideration its four-year
orbit, the likeliest time of its impact
will be the year 2008. The base 7 vector for this catastrophe, in fact, is July
2008.
UPDATE (10/7/07): Asteroid 2006 HZ51 has been removed from the risk table. It
shall not strike earth on June 21,
2008 as earlier reported ... or will it? We shall see.
I have for some time believed that the following prophecy no longer applies to
Toutatis or any other asteroid bound
to strike earth in 2008. Those reading the email forums over the last few years
and the Prophetic Messenger Forum
would know this:
Revelation 8:8 ~
And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire
was cast into the sea:
and the third part of the sea became blood ...
This site carries an impact in
Nostradamus' prediction around 2015/16. There still could be an
impact somewhere in 2008.

Meteorite trail surprises P. Arenas and Tierra del Fuego - July 18, 2008
It is almost confirmed that the bright flash seen last Monday night in great
parts of Magallaes region, included Tierra del Fuego in the extreme south of
Chile was a meteorite.
Residents throughout the region: in Punta Arenas, Puerto Natales and in Tierra
del Fuego Porvenir recall seeing at approximately 10:30 p.m. a bright flash in
the night sky. Witnesses then heard a loud crack, presumably the result of the
meteorite breaking the sound barrier as it passed over the region, reported the
local press.
Onetto’s theory was corroborated by Chilean Antarctic Institute scientist Stefan
Kraus, who told Radio Polar that the object was likely a “stony” meteorite, the
most common type. “All the data collected and the observations so far, confirm
it”, he added.
“Tiny pieces must have spread over miles of open range, many kilometers from
Punta Arenas and in unpopulated areas of Patagonia”, said Krauss.

Strange object filmed in the sky above Winnipeg - Jul. 23 2008
"It was like a red fireball falling down from the sky," Sylvia McLeod, 31, told
CTV.ca Tuesday.
McLeod said she filmed the strange object Monday night between 9:30 p.m. and
10:30 p.m., just as the sun set.
Paul Delaney, a professor of physics and astronomy at York University in
Toronto, said it could be a bolide (bright meteor).
However, he said "assuming the video timing is 'real time' it is not moving
anywhere near fast enough."
Howell added that meteors don't usually have a bright spot at the end, making it
an unlikely possibility.
Chris Rutkowski, who has seen hundreds of strange unexplained images as director
of the Winnipeg-based Ufology Research Institute, said his best guess would
be a plane.

Green Fireball Spotted over Fresno, California - July 29, 2008
A fireball was spotted over Fresno, California traveling East to West. The
fireball
was brighter than a morning star and was green in color with a white tail. The
fireball
semmed to tay intact as it travelled. This was observed while driving north on
Interstate
99, morning light before sunrise, slight haze.

Another Fireball Over LA? Something Seen Over Santa Monica - July 31, 2008
Earlier this month, a mysterious fireball flew over the Los Angeles region. And
now today, an e-mail tipster sends this to our inbox: "There was some sonic boom
noise in Santa Monica, and all my neighbors reported hearing it, but nobody
could figure out what this was. Have you heard of it? My coworker swears she saw
a 'low flying shooting star that exploded over the ocean.'" Santa Monica Police
report no calls about anything as such.
COMMENT
It is more than likely the missles that take off out of Santa Barbara. I've seen
them early in the morning if I up around Malibu. Scares you because they move so
fast but I believe that is what these fireball people are seein'.

Neon Green Fireball Over Wake County, North Carolina, USA - August 3,
2008
A very bright neon green fireball with slight traces of orange flares coming
off the back.
The fireball flared up halfway in the sky at low altitude, falling at about a
35-40 degree
angle not changing direction. When it flared up it had an slight small orange
trail
behind it and then that disappeared. No visible long contrail behind it either.

"Blue, sparking orb" was likely a meteor - August 5, 2008
What witnesses described as a "blue, sparking orb" prompted several calls to
police in Wall and Howell before it apparently broke apart and disappeared late
Sunday night, police said.
Bob Hampton of Ocean Township said he was driving on the New Jersey Turnpike
near Kearny when he saw the blue-white object streak across the sky traveling
from east to west. He spotted it about the same time some Howell residents
thought it settled in the woods near Fort Plains Road.
"It was the brightest thing I remember seeing in the night sky," Hampton said.
"It just seemed like it threw a lot of sparks, and then I thought it just broke
up."
It was most likely a meteor, hitting the Earth's atmosphere at about 20,000 mph,
said Louis J. Kijewski, a physicist at Monmouth University, whose academic
credentials include teaching astronomy. Probably just a big meteor that had a
dramatic burnout, he said.

Avebury Manor, nr Avebury, Wiltshire. Reported 15th July.
The new formation is obviously a diagrammatic representation of the Sun and
planets (with no care for proper astronomical proportions). But the smaller
inner ones (Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars) are clearly delineated from the
giant outer ones (Jupiter, Saturn Uranus and Neptune).
And there is a huge Sun with an unusual reversing swirl lay.
The crop circle formation at Avebury Manor seems to depict our solar-system (not
in proportional scale) on December 21, (+/-) 2012 - the highly debated end of
the Mayan calendar (or at least one of the most prominent interpretations of
that date). Whatever this means and who-or-whatever created this crop circle, I
do not know - but the basic message of it is quite clear.

Avebury Manor (2), nr Avebury, Wiltshire. Reported 22nd July.
-
Field Report - Unusual B.C. Crop Circle - 7-21-8
The best-documented plant change found in authentic crop circles is apical node
elongation--a stretching of the external fibers of the top node beneath the
seed-head--caused by escaping steam from these nodes (a result of very brief but
intense exposure of the plants to microwave radiation). In this particular
formation the node elongation was observed to be massive, and clearly visible
throughout:

Are feds stockpiling survival food? - July 24, 2008
'These circumstances certainly raise red flags'
"We're told that the feds bought the entire container of canned butter when it
hit the California docks. (Something's up!)," said officials at Best
Prices Storable Foods in an advisory to customers.
He said a company official told him on the telephone when he discussed the
status of his order that it was because the government had purchased massive
quantities of products, leaving none for other customers.
"We don't know why. The feds then went to freeze dried companies, and bought
most of their canned stock," he said.
"We don't have shelters that [are being] stocked with food. We're not doing this
for the public. My only conclusion is that they're stocking up for themselves,"
he said of government officials.
The impact of a large meteorite will inject dust into the atmosphere which
will in turn cool the planet and limit the production of food.

Forget the meltdown, worry about goo and asteroids - Financial Times,
09.07.2008
(Sir) Martin Rees, who engages with a litany of catastrophes, gave his book the
provocative title of Our Final Century? But while technology causes many
problems, it also fixes many. The Black Death was probably bubonic plague and if
so we could now cure it. Even the asteroid can be deflected if we see it coming.
Maybe the meltdown and a potential comet/meteorite impact are related. No
sense to worry about money if we are going to be hit.

'Fireball' streaks across Bucks sky - Aug 15 2008
The Curleys, who saw the fireball from Route 611 near Bristol Road in
Warrington, were
among several people in Bucks County who said they spotted what appeared to be a
meteor
just before 10 p.m. Sunday.
COMMENT - I was sitting outside the Southampton Starbucks and saw the same
thing! It was
round going very fast first bright white then turned into green and died out.
cOMMENT - I saw it too, and I'm a scientist and amateur astronomer. It was
definitely NOT a
satellite, space station or planet. It was too large and moved across half the
sky in about
5-7 seconds . From my perspective it turned red when the object vaporized.

Kincardine baffled by noise that shook town - Aug 07, 2008
The Kincardine newspaper reported that a meteor shower likely caused the
thunderous bangs,
which sent firefighters and Ontario Provincial Police looking for a problem they
couldn't find.
That leaves the meteor shower theory. Bradley said the London Emergency Dispatch
centre did
receive calls from people who said they saw large streaks through the sky at
roughly the same
time they heard a thunderous explosion.
- A UFO in Cumberland County? - August 5, 2008
“It looked like a shooting star, but it was a lot bigger,” Green said. “There
were pale sparks and orange flames that turned blue-green. Then it was like a
fireball, and right before it disappeared, there was a flash like it exploded
and it was gone. It lit up the sky like heat lightning.”
Mike Snider has been getting a number of reports like that, and he -- along with
a 100 others -- saw something similar to Green’s description at the same time at
the Naylor Observatory in Lewisberry Sunday night.
David Griffith of Bucks County, formerly from Carlisle and avid skywatcher,
noted he saw something similar in his skies Sunday night a little before 10 p.m.
— something he wouldn't confuse with a satellite.

Mrs Carpenter described it as "a ball of fire".
COMMENT
Tending to my horse, that stormy night,I thought I saw a distant object, so
described.Could have been a flare.
Dobbin was visibly spooked by the thunderbolt and lightning(very, very
frightening). He was almost at the end of his tether.
I saw the same thing which was a burning red and appears to be a flare due to
the smoke coming off b and when it hit the ground further smoke came of. However
it was very unusual.

Fast Moving Blue and Gold Object Seen In The Sky Over Orono, Minnesota USA -
August 28, 2008
I then noticed a phenomenon just above me, it seemed to be at the tree line
(pretty low in the sky), and travelling straight ahead in the direction I was
facing. My initial instant thought was, how lovely, a shooting star, what a
treat. But this did not look like any of the many shooting stars I have seen in
my 50 years. It appeared to have a deep blue and gold hue, though I cannot
recall if the "head" was blue, and the "tail" was gold or vice versa. It shot by
rapidly and then appeared to suddenly be swallowed by the dark night sky.
One very large ball of flame or bright light shooting in a horizontal direction,

anyone with my usually loud music.

Scientist Predicts Ice Age Within 10 Years - August 19, 2008
Herrera states that the earth is entering a natural phase of climate transition
during which solar activity will diminish considerably, “so that in two years or
so, there will be a small ice age that lasts from 60 to 80 years.”
Herrera cited the growth in glaciers observed at the Andes, Perito Moreno,
Logan, the highest mountain in Canada, and Franz-Josef Glacier, New Zealand.
Following the end of the Sun’s most active period in over 11,000 years, the last
10 years have displayed a clear cooling trend as temperatures post-1998 leveled
out and are now plummeting.

FIREBALL OUTBURST: Yesterday, Sept. 9th 2008
a surprising flurry of bright fireballs lit up the skies of North
America. "Our
SENTINEL all-sky camera picked up 25 bright meteors in a shower that
began at
0620 UT and lasted approximately 4 hours," reports NASA astronomer Bill Cooke of
the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. This video "frame-
stack" shows the outburst at a glance:
"Most appear to have a radiant near Perseus (3.3h, +43o), leading us to
hypothesize an outburst of the September Perseids," says Cooke. The September
Perseids come from an unknown comet and typically produce no more than a
handful of dim meteors per hour when the shower peaks on Sept. 8th and 9th. This
is the first time they have been caught bursting in this fashion. Most of
the
meteors recorded by the NASA camera were magnitude -2 or brighter, i.e., as
bright as Jupiter or Venus.
Ongoing analyses of this outburst may reveal the orbit of the meteoroids, the
location of the parent comet (if a comet is indeed the parent), and whether
more
outbursts are in the offing. Stay tuned for updates.

- The Sept. Perseids: Sept. 9, 2008
The September Perseids (not to be confused with the more famous August Perseids)
are normally dim and few. The shower produces only 3 to 6 meteors per hour at
maximum around Sept. 9th of every year. But on Sept. 9, 2008, the sky lit up
with fireballs. Browse the gallery, below, for images of the surprising
outburst.

West Of Stratford, Ontario Fireball Sighting - August 22, 2008
Just after dark I was sitting facing the west in my backyard, when through the
trees I
spotted a fiery ball approximately parallel to the line of my back neighbours
roof. My view
to the west is through backyards and trees, no buildings in the way. I pointed
it out to 2
friends sitting with me and they both saw it. It looked like a flaming ball with
dark smoke
streams behind it. It traveled from the south towards the north west. My view
was obscured
sometimes, but I could see its path through a young willow tree by my back
fence. Then I
lost sight of it as it went farther north and the building blocked my view.
Sadly my husband
just missed it, because he is an amateur astronomer.

BBC airs theory that meteorites hit every 1000 years - 17/09/2008
The BBC and the National Geographic Channel are making a documentary based on
the controversial theories of a Wollongong academic, who claims that meteorites
hit the earth every 1000 years.
"Ted Bryant believes the meteor impact 500 years ago created mega-tsunamis that
devastated coastal populations along the NSW coast as well as parts of New
Zealand," the show's associate producer, Jackie Forster, said. "It is very
controversial - NASA scientists say it happened 10,000 years ago, but this group
believes it happened only 500 years ago."
There are (http://www.barry.warmkessel.com/SynopsisComet.html)
five comet/meteor swarms that threaten Earth every 3300 years or so.
Thus, significant impacts, some major, occur in a correlated and somewhat
predictable manner every 660 years on average. Earth will be threatened with a
possible impact this century. Note that Sir Martin Rees, the UK’s Royal
Astronomer, (http://abob.libs.uga.edu/bobk/ccc/cc042403.html)
thinks "the odds are no better than 50-50 that our present civilization on
Earth will
survive until the end of this century." Among other things, he cites:
- Supervolcanoes (like the awakening Yellowstone caldera - caused by impacts (
http://www.barry.warmkessel.com/summary04paper.html)
- Near-Earth objects (like passing asteroids and comets)

Huge Booming Sound Over San Diego, California - September 15, 2008
Huge booming sounds about 15 seconds long with 6 seconds of silence intervals in
between. Went on for a little over 10 minutes. It made all the windows in my
apartment shake. Sounded like a jet engine was in my living room shooting
missiles. Woke up all the neighbors. The sky was clear and there were no jets or
planes visible, only some lights in the distance circling on the sky in the
direction of the Miramar Marine Corps Air Station. I live near the air station
and am very accustomed to hearing jets fly overhead. This was completely
different than anything I have ever heard and was quite concerning. Have not
seen or heard anything about it on the local news or internet.

Three surfers see the light - 26/09/2008
EARLY risers who spotted a greenish-yellow light flashing across the shire on
Monday probably witnessed a meteor.
Surfers at Cronulla Beach who saw it moving from east to west over Kurnell at
5.20am said it lasted about five seconds before it split into three and
disintegrated into a vapour trail.
The Australian National University astronomer Rob McNaught, a specialist who
searches for asteroids that could collide with Earth, said the sighting was most
likely a meteor or fireball ''belly-flopping'' into the atmosphere at 30 to 40
kilometres a second.

Early risers see fireball flash across the sky - September 26, 2008
University of Michigan astronomy professor Mario Mateo was a little jealous when
he learned a group of Ypsilanti bus drivers and a teacher saw an apparent
fireball Thursday morning. Shoot. I wish I'd seen it!'' he said. "They can be
very, very bright and are quite impressive.'' This bolide - or fireball - may
have been nothing more than a rock up to about a foot in diameter, Mateo said.

Meteor lights up the Chatham sky - October 4, 2008 - Posted 8 days ago
Wayne Edwards, a postdoctoral astronomy student at The University of Western
Ontario's physics and astronomy department, confirmed Thursday afternoon what
the Chatham residents saw was a meteor. "We do have one meteor that was seen
across our entire network," Edwards told The Daily News. "It was moving at about
55 kilometers per second. So it was motoring." The UWO has a network of seven
all-sky cameras stationed throughout southwestern Ontario detecting meteors on a
daily basis, Edwards said. "Some are brighter than others. This one was

Astronomy Picture of the Day - Bright Bolide
On September 30, a spectacular bolide or fireball meteor surprised a group of
amateur astronomers enjoying dark night skies over the Oklahoma panhandle's
Black
Mesa State Park in the Midwestern US. Flashing past familiar constellations
Taurus
(top) and Orion, the extremely bright meteor was captured by a hillside camera
overlooking the 2008 Okie-Tex Star Party.
Earlier this week the discovery and follow-up tracking of tiny asteroid 2008 TC3
allowed astronomers to predict the time and location of its impact with the
atmosphere.
While no ground-based sightings of the fireball seem to have been reported, this
first
ever impact prediction was confirmed by at least some detections of an air burst
and
bright flash on October 7th over northern Sudan.

US To Declare October ‘Economic Emergency’, Suspend Elections - September
16, 2008
The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB) is reporting in the
Kremlin today that the Bank of England has received from the United States
Federal Reserve Bank a ‘notice’ that President Bush is preparing to declare an
‘Economic Emergency’ during the week of October 5th and will further
announce
that the American Presidential election due to be held on November 4th will be
‘indefinitely suspended’.

US Issues Unprecedented DEFCON 1 Alert - September 26, 2008
Russian Military Analysts are reporting in the Kremlin today that the United
States Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates, has alerted his World-Wide military
commands to begin preparations for the raising of America’s Defense Condition
(DEFCON) “on or about” October 7th to their highest status DEFCON 1.
These reports further state that the FSB is ‘standing by’ their previous reports
stating that the United States is entering a stage of ‘profound change’ that
will see their present government completely overturned, and as we had
previously on in our September 16th report “US To Declare October ‘Economic
Emergency’, Suspend Elections”.
A comet debris shower called the
5 October Camelopardalids appears to be associated with incoming
comet/meteor #5 of the B Swarm's Cluster 1 as predicted by crop circle T367.
Its logical that the USA would inform Russia of its intent to go to DEFCON 1
if the threat were a giant meteorite impact.

Brigade homeland tours start Oct. 1 - Sep 8, 2008
3rd Infantry’s 1st BCT trains for a new dwell-time mission. Helping ‘people at
home’ may become a permanent part of the active Army
The 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team has spent 35 of the last 60
months in Iraq patrolling in full battle rattle, helping restore essential
services and escorting supply convoys.
Now they’re training for the same mission — with a twist — at home.
Beginning Oct. 1 for 12 months, the 1st BCT will be under the day-to-day
control
of U.S. Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command, as an on-
call federal response force for natural or manmade emergencies and
disasters,
including terrorist attacks.
The 1st BCT’s soldiers also will learn how to use “the first ever nonlethal
package that the Army has fielded,” 1st BCT commander Col. Roger Cloutier said,
referring to crowd and traffic control equipment and nonlethal weapons designed
to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals without killing them.

Army deploys combat unit in US for possible civil unrest - 25 September
2008
For the first time ever, the US military is deploying an active duty regular
Army combat unit for full-time use inside the United States to deal with
emergencies, including potential civil unrest.
Beginning on October 1, the First Brigade Combat Team of the Third
Division will be placed under the command of US Army North, the Army’s component
of the Pentagon’s Northern Command (NorthCom), which was created in the wake of
the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks with the stated mission of defending
the US "homeland" and aiding federal, state and local authorities.
In an online interview with reporters earlier this month, NorthCom officers were
asked about the implications of the new deployment for the Posse Comitatus
Act,
the 230-year-old legal statute that bars the use of US military forces for law
enforcement purposes within the US itself.

Why is a U.S. Army brigade being assigned to the "Homeland"? - Sept. 24,
2008
UPDATE II: There's no need to start manufacturing all sorts of scare scenarios
about Bush canceling elections or the imminent declaration of martial law or
anything of that sort. None of that is going to happen with a single brigade and
it's unlikely in the extreme that they'd be announcing these deployments if they
had activated any such plans.

Meteosat-8 Rapid Scan Shoots Asteroid on Impact Over Sudan - October 10,
2008
A rare series of events occurred early Tuesday morning, October 7, as asteroid
2008 TC3
hit Earth releasing a huge amount of light and energy before exploding in the
atmosphere
over northern Sudan. Even better is that amazingly, the Meteosat-8 Rapid
Scanning Service
managed to capture the impact.
This brief flash was captured by Meteosat-8 in Rapid Scan Service, as the image
to the right
shows. The asteroid 2008 TC3, entered the Earth's atmosphere at a velocity of
12.8 kilometers
per second at around 02:46 UTC above northern Sudan, Africa. As it entered the
Earth’s atmosphere,
it compressed the air in front of it. The compression heated the air, which in
turn heated the
object to create a spectacular fireball, releasing huge amounts of energy as it
disintegrated
and exploded in the atmosphere, dozens of kilometers above ground. The asteroid
exploded with
the energy of around one kiloton, equal to the power of a small nuclear bomb.
Infrasound detector
arrays in Kenya also detected a sound wave from the direction of the expected
impact corresponding
to the energy of 1.1-2.1 kilotons of TNT.
2008 TC3 was discovered on October 6 by astronomers using the Mt. Lemmon
telescope in Arizona
as part of the NASA-funded Catalina Sky Survey for near-Earth objects. Asteroids
the size of
2008 TC3 hit Earth a few times a year, but what is special about this event is
that it is the
first time one has been discovered before it hit.
What is important is that astronomers were watching during these dangerous
times.
-
On the Trail of 2008 TC3
On October 7, the early dawn over northern Sudan revealed this twisted, high
altitude trail. Captured in a video frame, the long-lasting persistent train is
from the impact of a small asteroid cataloged as 2008 TC3. That event was
remarkable because it was the first time an asteroid was detected in space
before crashing into planet Earth's atmosphere. In fact, after astronomers
discovered 2008 TC3, the time and location of its impact were predicted based on
follow-up observations. Later, the impact predictions were confirmed by sensors,
including a Meteosat-8 image of a bright flash in the atmosphere.

Quite the mystery - 10/09/2008
A woman was roused from her sleep when ice crashed through her home's roof,
injuring her.
What Perry Foster found in the bedroom was six pounds of ice broken into chunks
and a hole 12 inches in diameter between two joists in the ceiling. He could
even see the sky. "I saw the ice on the floor, and I saw ice on the bed,"
"There were chunks of ice on the bed, which she didn't even see."
But they also wondered if it might have been a meteorite. Mary Foster said her
son-in-law found on the NASA Web site that a meteor shower had been predicted
for Wednesday morning. While it's impossible to say for sure without a scientist
examining the ice chunk, it is possible that a meteor came crashing through the
home's roof, said Dave Dombek, senior meteorologist at AccuWeather.com.
"It is not out of the realm of possibility," Dombek said. This time of year is
the peak season for the Draconids meteor shower, Dombek said. A meteor shower is
created when the stream of icy debris following a comet enters the Earth's
atmosphere as our planet rotates around the sun.

It came from outer space - October 19, 2008
IT appeared against the early evening sky like a flare - moments later roofs
rattled and verandas shook as it crashed to earth.
The meteor was spotted near where the Henbury Meteor struck 4700 years ago. That
giant meteor was travelling at more than 40,000kmh when it disintegrated and hit
Earth, creating 12 giant craters 145 kilometres south-west of Alice Springs.

Monterey, California: Fiery object streaks across nighttime sky - 16 Oct
2008
Reports came from residents from Carmel Valley to Salinas of a fireball shooting
through the Tuesday night sky and hitting the Earth. A sheriff's deputy
patrolling Carmel Valley saw it and thought enough of it to call for
reinforcements. Turns out, the fireball was probably a meteor passing through
the atmosphere.
Deputy Joe Palazzolo reported seeing a bright light streak across the sky in a
southeasterly direction around 9 p.m. He drove east on Carmel Valley Road to
where he thought he saw the object crash and start a fire east of Garland Ranch
Regional Park. He said the fire appeared to get larger as he got closer, but
fire crews did not find evidence of a fire or a meteor.

COLORADO FIREBALL - 28 October 2008.
-
October 28, 2008 COLORADO Fireball
This fireball occurred at 7:29 PM MDT over central Colorado. I have received
over
100 witness reports, from Casper, WY in the north, Albuquerque, NM is the south,
the Western Slope to the west, and the Front Range to the east.
The image at left is from the Cloudbait camera. The meteor is seen passing
almost
straight overhead. It burned continuously, but where it passed behind thicker
clouds
at the center the computer briefly stropped recording.
Based on data from the cameras, the meteor appeared over Colorado Springs, CO
and
traveled due west, ending near Cedaredge, CO. The ground path was about 270 km
(170
miles) long, and the average speed was 34 km/s (76,000 mph).

Fireball over the Northeast - October 29, 2008
Hearing about another fireball meteor, this one spotted last evening in the
northeastern sky.
Here's a report from Bowley's Quarters, in eastern Baltimore County. Did anyone
else spot
this one?
"Hi there, last night about 7pm I believe - Bowleys Quarters- there was an
amazing fireball
I saw through clouds traveling north in the north eastern sky. I haven't seen
anything else
on this- I know meteors are common but this was so bright and through the clouds
I was amazed.
"I am pleased to report that I just eye-witnessed a major fireball event out my
window.
This fireball was traveling east to west, possibly over central Colorado. It was
long trailed,
turquoise and green, and shed sparks ... It looks like this fireball may have
been at least
300 miles north of my location."

Huge Fireball Falling Straight Down Seen Over Great Falls, Montana USA -
November 20, 2008
My wife, father, sister and I were driving home from hunting in two separate
vehicles. We were south of Great Falls heading north. My wife and I saw A "fire
ball" fall straight down through the cloud deck. It appeared to be very large,
and not very far away maybe 60 or 70 miles. It was reddish orange in color and
had a definite fire trail. It looked like a rocket taking off through the clouds
except it was falling not climbing. We asked my father and sister via walkie-
talkie if they saw that. they replied that they had. Yet we have found no one
else who saw it.

Massive fireball lights up Prairie skies - November 20, 2008
Gobeil said he thought the object hit the ground about 10 seconds later.
"It seemed like it fell on Beaumont, but it's more likely it landed in Manitoba

Saskatchewan if it was a meteorite," he said.
"It lit up the yard almost like midday, but just for an instant," said Trapp,
who
farms about 70 kilometres southwest of Saskatoon. "It was far brighter than any
lightning strike I've ever seen."
Shawn Mitchler was pumping gas at Radisson, Sask., about 60 kilometres northwest

Saskatoon, when the sky flashed green and yellow.
"It seemed like fireworks or a missile coming down," said Mitchler, who
estimates the
light show lasted five to 10 seconds.

Fireball sparks amazement in Canada - Nov. 23 2008
Video : Meteor ranks among the top displays of the decade, expert says
SASKATOON, Saskatchewan - Scientists say they hope to find remnants of a meteor
that brilliantly lit up the sky before falling to earth in western Canada.
University of Calgary planetary scientist Alan Hildebrand called it one of the
largest meteors visible in the country in the last decade.
Widely broadcast video images showed what appeared to be a speeding fireball
Thursday night over Saskatoon that became larger and brighter before
disappearing as it neared the ground.

Meteor lights up the Thanksgiving sky - newscast, November 27, 2008
Our Queen Anne Tower camera just happened to be rolling on air during KOMO 4
News at 5 a.m. and captured a meteor fireball streaking across the Seattle sky.
Just as anchor Mike Dardis was welcoming viewers back form a commercial break at

It's at least the second time this month a meteor has streaked across the sky.
We also received several reports of a fireball on the evening of November
13th.

December 4, 2008 Fireball G08
I have received over 60 witness reports (shown as green dots on the map at
left), as well as inquiries from Denver news providers.
Using reports from as far west as Salt Lake City, as far east as western
Nebraska, an from all around the Denver area, I have been able to approximate
the meteor path (shown as a blue-green arrow on the map). It probably began over
the La Junta area, and ended over the Kit Carson area. At this point I can't
accurately determine its speed or angle of descent. There are a number of
active meteor showers around this date, but the direction of the meteor isn't
consistent with any of them.
Witnesses reported that the flight was fairly slow, lasting several seconds, and
that the meteor what white to green, with an orange core that broke up into two
or three separate pieces towards the end. This description is suggestive of the
sort of meteor capable of dropping meteorites, but without additional
information from witnesses near the end of flight, it is impossible to know
where to look.

-
Colorado Superbolide - 07 Dec 2008 H08
"I estimate the terminal explosion at magnitude -18, more than 100 times
brighter than a full Moon."
Fireballs this bright belong to a rare category of meteors called superbolides.
They are caused by small asteroids measuring a few to 10 meters in diameter and
massing hundreds of metric tons. Superbolides trigger seismic detectors on the
ground, produce waves of infrasound that can travel thousands of miles, and they
are tracked by military satellites scanning Earth for nuclear explosions. Recent
examples include the El Paso fireball of 1997 and the Slovenian Superbolide of
2007.
Last night's fireball is on the low end of the superbolide scale. Nevertheless,
it was still a beauty and likely peppered the ground with meteorites when
it exploded. Sighting reports are welcomed; they could help guide the tracking
and recovery of debris.

December 6, 2008 Fireball
Based on the camera data, I have determined that the meteor began over Hwy 24 on
the northeast side of Colorado Springs, at a height of 107 km (67 mi), and
descended to the southwest, ending over Hwy 115 about 10 km north of Penrose.
Its final height was 86 km (54 mi). The meteor had an average speed of 50.5 km/s
(114,000 mph) and descended at 26° from the horizontal. Its radiant was in Ursa
Major, at RA 195°, dec +58°, which is not associated with any known
shower.
The fairly high altitude of the terminal explosion, combined with a high speed,
is not generally favorable for meteorite production. However, the extremely
bright terminal explosion makes this a very untypical event, and it remains
possible that meteorites reached the ground. The most likely location is east of
Hwy 115, between the terminal explosion point and the city of Penrose.

Dramatic fireball sighted by Twin Ports residents and others — more to come?
- December 12, 2008
There are side benefits to creating a massive light display on Park Point. In
this case, it meant Marcia and Zach Hales were outside at Park Point, looking
toward the lake, on the night of Nov. 26.
The grandmother and grandson saw a bright white ball with a multi-colored vapor
tail trailing behind it shoot across the sky from south to north. Zach says it
disappeared over the horizon; Marcia thought it dropped into the lake.
According to the Fireball Sightings Log on the American Meteor Society
Web site (www.amsmeteors.org) there were 19 different reports of a fireball
between 8:50 and 9 p.m. that night. Nine of those reports were filed from
Wisconsin, including folks in Iron River and Hayward, and six were from
Minnesota. People in Indiana and Illinois also reported seeing a fireball with a
white head and green tail, or green and blue streaks.
Observers on the AMS site ranked the magnitude of the Nov. 26 fireball between -
13 and -27, with -13 equivalent to the light produced by the full moon, and -27
equivalent to the light produced by the sun.
Six days before that, a massive fireball lit up the Canadian sky — that meteor’s
image was even captured by a police officer’s dash camera.

Cricket ball-meteor blazes across Western Australia - December 18, 2008
WEST Australia was treated to a rare show last night as a meteor blazed across
the sky between Perth and the Goldfields.
Perth Observatory received dozens of reports of blue, green and orange lights in
the sky between Perth and Leonora and east to Kalgoorlie just before 8.30pm.
Experts say the fireball was probably a meteor -- about the size of a cricket
ball -- burning up as it passed through Earth's atmosphere.
Perth Observatory astronomer Ralph Martin said the meteor was spotted about
8.25pm -- just before sunset -- as it hurtled in a south-to-north direction
across the southern half of WA at a speed of about 20km per second.
Mr Martin said some callers reported seeing a "blueish flash'' as the meteor
streaked across the sky. Most people only glimpsed the phenomenon for "two to
three seconds.''

Large boom heard in Mt. Pleasant - December 30, 2008
All afternoon, our newsroom has been flooded with calls, emails and twitter
messages, about a loud boom heard in, and around, Mt. Pleasant.
We’ve gotten emails from Dunes West, Rivertowne Country club, Seaside farms,
Hamlin Plantation, Brickyard, and even as far as Isle of Palms.
People who heard the sound described it as a loud explosion that started around
1:45pm, and only lasted for about 30 to 45 seconds. And many of you said your
homes shook…
According the US Geological Survey, there have been no signs of an earthquake,
officials at the Wando Port terminal say they haven’t experienced anything out
of the ordinary.
We went looking for answers and found it actually happens all over the place all

Residents in Sarasota, Florida were shaken in March by a loud noise. The
unofficial cause, a space shuttle re-entering the earth’s atmosphere.

Tok residents abuzz over object in sky - January 2, 2009
Was it a meteor falling from space? Officials think that might be what residents
saw shooting through the Alaska sky near Tok on Monday afternoon. A tremendous
explosion, like a sonic boom, drew some people outside, where they watched
irregular contrails scribe a path in a clear sky.
One caller, an adult, told Kendall an 11-year-old witnessed the entire spectacle
outside. “He said it was like a big fireball that exploded, with smoke
everywhere,” Kendall relayed. “The kid said, ‘I think it was a meteor,’ and I
went, right. The Martians have landed. But then I got three other calls, boom,
boom, boom. I was pretty shocked.”

Calamitous Web Bot Predictions - September 21st, 2008
Beginning on October 7, 2008 and running through March 2009, they foresee a
calamitous period on an epic scale. America will be beset by a variety of
problems, which they broke down as 45-48% related to the economy, 40% concerning
the military, and the rest associated with natural disasters. Between 2 and 22
million lives could be lost or seriously impacted, they estimated, possibly
related to a "global coastal event" in 2009. On Dec. 10-
12th,
2008, a large quake could hit the Pacific Northwest,
they added.
The two recommended developing self-sufficiency and the ability to live off the

Web Bot Predictions for 2008/2009 - 02/26/2008 or earlier.
There will be a 2009 winter/spring natural disaster, which caused people to
become angry about government response.
With the dramatic increase in natural disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes,
floods and more, the government’s inability to respond to the immediate needs of
the people will prove to be devastating for many.
Global Coastal Event likely in early to mid 2009
The Web Bot sees a permanent loss of low-lying territory globally and foresees
that one continent in particular will get hit badly, but it does not say which
one. Places to avoid: anything at sea level (Bangladesh/Florida/ etc).

Web Bot Predictions for 2009 - the year of shortages & no north pole ? -
July 15, 2008
According to their notes they summarize that 2009 will be the year of a Global
Coastal Event:
- The bigger things are in modelspace, the more lead time we get
- Collapse of the dollar has been in modelspace for 2 ½ years
or so. Even longer has been Global Coastal event.
- Global Coast Event likely in early to mid 2009
- Permanent loss of low lying territory globally but one continent in
particular
get hit badly. We don’t know which one, but we hope it’s like a Greenland or
some not heavily populated area. (*working on this now, but it’s at the limit of
our software)
- Places to avoid: anything at sea level (Bangladesh/Florida/ etc).
According to the web bot team 2009 can be summarised with a "word of the year" -
specifically a word which will summarize how life will 'feel' in '09.
The direction of this word points to famine, starvation and both food & resource
shortages:
Some key headlines discussed that hint to 2009 following this outlook :
"Fuel Choices, Food Crises, and Finger-Pointing"
"US shops ration food for first time"

Web Bot Project Predicting Huge Natural Disaster for December - December
7th, 2008
The Web Bot is predicting major earthquakes for the window around December 10-12 for a first major earthquake and then
a couple of days later, perhaps as late at the 15th for a second large quake.
One other note from Cliff - he is beating himself up for
getting the 'quakes' stuff wrong. It was a simple misread linking the terra
entity isolation issues of the Pacific Northwest with the quakes which did
the damage a week or so back in Indonesia & Chile. Not causative, just
temporally coincident.
- There will be a 2009 winter/spring natural disaster, which caused
people to become angry about government response.
- The Web Bot foresee that the winter in the Northeast will be very cold,
causing some schools to close, and then later to reopen as shelters for people
who can’t heat their homes.
- Global Coastal Event likely in early to mid 2009

Grand Cosmic Cross Sends Catastrophic Warning To World - December 8,
2008
To the signs of this warning we must take heed as on 12
December, yet 4
days hence, comes the Long Night Moon (Full Moon) of ancient lore falling into
the center of the Grand Cosmic Cross of the Mutable Signs of Virgo, Gemini,
Pisces and Sagittarius and which has claimed its first soul of the ‘Three Great
Leaders’ destined to fall under its Winter Reign, and as we can read:
And of these present signs Prophetess Vanga had further warned that, “Be Warned!
Be Warned! For after the City of Lights has descended below the waves before the
moon falls prostrate upon the Cross the Great Prelate will die and be soon
followed into death by the Great Pretender to the Throne and the Harlot
believing their power greater than all others. But to the greatest sorrow will
come the multitudes soon to die before the celebration of the Christ comes
again.”
To the accuracy of Prophetess Vanga’s visions of these times we do know that the
City of Lights,
Venice, Italy, has, indeed, succumbed to the seas.
Wonder if they have been reading Web Bot?
